Notice of Fare & Policy Change

Effective July 1, 2010, the EZ transit pass fares will be increased. Additionally, Santa Clarita Transit local and commuter fares will be adjusted effective August 1, 2010.

As of August 2010:

• NO student reduced-fare discount on commuter routes.
• NO $1.00 credit for local monthly passes on commuter routes.
• NO local transfers available.
• NO interagency transfers sold on routes traveling INBOUND to SCV.
• Introducing a new commuter TAP monthly pass on all routes except the 757.
• Introducing a new unlimited local day pass for $2.50 on TAP only.

Metrolink Pass Transfer Policy

If a customer boards a bus without valid Metrolink media, the full cash fare will be collected.

• One-Way – Valid for one boarding on any Santa Clarita Transit route on the date of purchase and must be surrendered to bus operator at time of use.
• Round-Trip – Valid for two boardings on any Santa Clarita Transit route on the date of purchase. The round-trip cards will be punched by the operator.
• Ten-Trip – Valid for one boarding per machine validation on any Santa Clarita Transit route. 
• Monthly Pass – Valid on any Santa Clarita Transit route during the calendar month printed on the pass.

Santa Clarita Transit Monthly Passes

• Valid ONLY on local routes. Local passes are no longer valid on commuter routes and do not count as a credit towards another ride.
• $30 as of August 1, 2010.
