30th River Rally Clean Up and Environmental Expo

 

Free Local Transit Rides September 20th

Santa Clarita Transit is proud to support the City’s 30th River Rally by providing unlimited free local rides to registered volunteers for use all day on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Your free local day pass is valid across the entire local Santa Clarita Transit system, meaning you can ride an unlimited number of local buses across the system for the entire day!

 

Double Your Environmental Impact!

Pairing the River Rally Cleanup with riding public transit multiplies your environmental impact for the day! Public transit produces about 50–70% fewer greenhouse gas emissions per mile than driving alone. Every gallon of gasoline you don’t burn avoids roughly 19 pounds of CO₂, so your trip to clean up the river also cuts pollution at its source. Double your impact by cleaning up the air while you clean up the river!

 

Redeem, Activate, and Use Your Free Transit Pass

After you register for the River Rally, a promo code and instructions will be sent in your confirmation email before the event.

Download & Create a Token Transit App Account

  1. Download the Token Transit app on the Apple App Store or Google Play.
  2. Sign up for a Token Transit account by entering your phone number.
Redeem Your Free Pass Code
  1. Click this link: https://tokentransit.com/santaclaritatransit/santaclaritariverrally2025
  2. Enter your email address and the free pass code in the available fields. (All other fields are locked.) An email from Token Transit with subject line “Redeem Your Transit Pass for Santa Clarita Transit” will be sent to the email address entered.
  3. Using your phone, open the email and click the REDEEM NOW button.
  4. Select the Token Transit icon to download the pass into the Token Transit app.
  5. The Token Transit app will open and present the “Redeem” button. Tap this button.
  6. The pass is now available in your Stored Passes section of the app!
Activate and Use Your Pass
  1. Wait until September 20th to activate your pass.
  2. Open the Token Transit app and on the My Passes screen, select the River Rally pass under Stored Passes.
  3. Select “Start My Trip” from the pop‑up menu. The pass will expire by 3:00 AM on Sept 21, 2025, regardless of what time of the day you activate it.
  4. Show your phone screen to the transit driver when boarding.

 

Get There Using Santa Clarita Local Transit:

  1. Routes 5 and 6 operate every 30 minutes with transfers available at the McBean Regional Transit Center (Valencia & McBean).
  2. Closest bus stops to use to get to the River Rally:
    1. Dalbey Dr & Newhall Ave — Stop #16315 or #18955
    2. Orchard Village Rd & Wiley Canyon — Stop #18955 or #18316
  3. It is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stops to the welcome tables.
