35th Anniversary Theme:

This year’s theme is “35 Years of Moving Santa Clarita.” Artists are invited to create designs that celebrate the impact of Santa Clarita Transit and the role it plays in connecting the community.

Artwork may explore ideas such as:

  • The evolution of Santa Clarita Transit from past to present
  • The number 35 or the dates 1996 to 2026 incorporated creatively into the design
  • Santa Clarita Transit connecting people, neighborhoods and recognizable landmarks or destinations
  • Movement, journeys and transportation networks
  • A celebration of the milestone itself honoring 35 years of service

Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme creatively while celebrating the role transit plays in bringing the community together.

Take a look back at the winning art from the Santa Clarita Transit 2025 TAP Card Art Contest!

Santa Clarita Transit is proud to unveil the winning artwork from our TAP Card Art Contest! Chosen from a talented pool of 84 submissions, Joey Camins created a stunning hand-drawn piece that captures a Santa Clarita Transit vehicle traveling gracefully through a lush green landscape. The artwork reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability and showcases how our new zero-emission vehicles help protect our environment.

The 2025 TAP Card Artwork competition focused on the following theme:

Zero-Emission Initiative:

The City of Santa Clarita is making major strides toward a cleaner, more sustainable future. In 2025, we’re rolling out new zero-emission initiatives to help reduce our carbon footprint, improve local air quality, and provide reliable transit options for our community. Zero emissions means absolutely zero harmful pollutants are emitted into the air from our transit vehicles. This translates to a healthier environment, improved air quality, and supports better public health.
