The City of Santa Clarita is excited to share its Golden Ticket Giveaway for up to a year of free transit rides! The randomly selected winner will receive a $365 TAP Card, valued at up to 365 free local trips on the Santa Clarita Transit system!

 

To enter the raffle, please visit the Santa Clarita Information Booth at Light Up Main Street on November 16, 2024, or at the Holiday Light Tour at the McBean Regional Transit Center (24375 Valencia Blvd) on any night from December 13th to December 15th, from 5pm to 9pm. Up to 500 raffle tickets will be available each of the 3 nights of the Holiday Light Tour. Once all raffle tickets have been claimed no further entries will be accepted. The winner will be drawn at random at 8:30pm on December 15th and will be notified via phone or email that was written on the winning raffle ticket.

Golden Ticket Giveaway Terms & Conditions

  • For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “The Promoter” refers to City of Santa Clarita Transit whose Instagram handle is @CityofSantaClarita and Twitter Handle is @SCTBus. The “Prize” refers to one (1) TAP Card loaded with $365.00 in stored value.
  • A $365.00 stored-value TAP Card is valued at up to 365 trips on the Santa Clarita Transit system at the current Santa Clarita TAP Card reduced rate of $1.00 per trip. A $365 TAP Card can produce 1 year of free transit rides when used once a day on a Santa Clarita Transit local trip. The TAP Card awarded is a standard-issue TAP Card and can be used multiple times per day on any service that accepts TAP Cards. Using the TAP Card on transit service that costs more than $1.00 per trip, or on transit service outside of the Santa Clarita Transit system will result in fewer than 365 trips.
  • By entering the raffle, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. All entries must be received by 8:30pm on December 15, 2024. One (1) winner will be selected at random by The Promoter on December 15th and the winner will be notified on or after this date by the phone or email address provided in the winner’s entry ticket.​
  • No purchase is necessary. Winners will not be required to pay to enter the raffle.
  • Entrants must be over 18 years old on the date of their entry into the raffle.
  • Instagram, Twitter or Facebook are not in any way affiliated or involved in the competition.
  • Only one (1) entry to the raffle per eligible person will be accepted. Up to five hundred (500) raffle tickets will be available each night of the Holiday Light Tour event, held December 13 – 15, 2024. Once all 500 allotted raffle tickets for an individual date have been claimed, no further entries on that date will be accepted.
  • Each entrant shall enter the raffle by collecting one (1) raffle ticket from the City of Santa Clarita info booth at either Light Up Main Street on November 16, 2024, or during the Holiday Light Tour held from December 13 – 15, 2024.
  • The Prize will be awarded to a randomly selected winner by pulling a raffle ticket at random from a container housing all entries. The Promoter will not be held liable if the named prize becomes unavailable or cannot be fulfilled.
  • The Promoter will not be held liable for any failure of receipt of entries. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.
  • To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Promoter’s liability under or in connection with the raffle or these terms and conditions shall be limited to the cost price of the Prize in question.
  • To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Promoter shall not be liable under or in connection with these terms and conditions, the raffle or any Prize for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by a participant even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and the promoter and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.
  • Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available. Where a Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the promoter reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal or higher value.
  • The name, email address and phone number of the winner must be provided on the entered raffle ticket to The Promoter and will be shared to enable fulfilment of the Prize.​
  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond The Promoter’s reasonable control, the promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.
  • The Promoter’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  • The winner’s name may be posted on the social media profiles of The Promotor after the winner has been selected.
